James Rix is a seasoned data centre and industrial infrastructure leader, serving as Head of Data Centre Practise – Southeast Asia & South Korea at JLL, where he guides clients through complex development, feasibility and delivery across the Asia-Pacific region. With over 15 years’ experience in data centre construction, MEP and IT infrastructure, James has delivered projects in more than 14 countries and worked with hyperscalers, colocation providers and enterprise organisations to shape high-performance digital facilities. A recognised industry speaker and thought leader, he regularly presents at international forums on trends in digital infrastructure, sustainability and early project design. James is also an award-winning Nomad Futurist Ambassador and author of the Bytes, Watts and Carbon newsletter, where he explores energy, efficiency and innovation in the data centre ecosystem. Passionate about demystifying digital infrastructure, he champions collaboration, skills development and resilient design.
